On the Feats Day of Saint Stanislau, 2005
Dear Archbishop Stanislau Dziwisz:
I have watched for many years as you so tenderly and completely met the needs of Our Holy Father. My heart goes out to you in your loss which is great. May you be comforted in our knowledge of the Resurrection.
I am a Secular Franciscan and an Evangelistic Apostle of Divine Mercy and felt a special sense of gratitude that John Paul II was called by God on the Feast Day of Divine Mercy which he had established. Saint Faustina must have greeted him with great love.
I was in the huge throng of people on September 27th 1987 when the Pope visited Miami. We had a terrible thunder storm and the outdoor celebration of the Mass had to be cancelled for the safety of all of the faithful. The mass was concluded in a nearby trailer. After the storm, while John Paul II was visiting with the Jewish leaders in Miami, a gorgeous double rainbow appeared in the sky. What a great sign of God's presence among us.
I sincerely pray that you receive grace upon grace and blessing upon blessing for the magnificent contribution you have made in the life of our dear Pope John Paul II. I trust that your spiritual gifts will now be redirected for the good of Holy Mother Church. May you be richly blessed.
In the love of our Christ and my Seraphic Father Francis of Assisi.
