Re: Abortion
Question from Don on 12/9/2016:

PJW just asked a valid question concerning the imputability of a woman who has had an abortion. Perhaps PJW had in mind women who have gone to an abortion clinic with the intention of having an abortion. Would you please answer the question given that situation?

Answer by Judie Brown on 12/9/2016:

Dear Don

Yes, of course if a woman goes into an abortion clinic intending to pay someone to commit an abortion, she is culpable. She is guilty of the premeditated killing of her own child and to my mind, that is a mortal sin of the type the Pope was not addressing though only God knows what the Pope intended.
