Marriage
Question from Archimedes Teves on 9/5/2016:

if a couple is on the way to church to received the sacrament of matrimony and along the way, they got into a car accident and both died, do we consider them married or not? follow up question is regarding baptism, if a baby died for any reason before reaching the Church did the baby receive the sacrament or not? thanks for enlightenment.

Answer by Fr. Jay Toborowsky on 9/6/2016:

I believe the answer to both your questions in "no". Even though they, in both cases, intended for a Sacrament to take place, the technical answer is that the sacrament had not yet occurred.
