Eating From The Tree of Life
Question from Jim Raney on 4/13/2017:

Why was the Tree of Life guarded by the Cherubim after Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil? And did Adam and Eve eat from the Tree of Life at any time while in the Garden of Eden prior to their disobedience?

Will the Righteous eat of the Tree of Life once they are in Heaven with Christ as mentioned in Rev 22:2?

Answer by Richard Geraghty on 4/24/2017:

Dear Jim,

The tree of life was the only tree in the Garden which God forbade our First Parents to eat from. They could eat the fruit of all the other trees in the Garden and did so. It was food. They had plenty of it. They disobeyed God and so fell into sin and were kicked out of the Garden. In heaven we will not need any food. We will have the vision of God face to face.

Dr. Geraghty
