Receiving the Eucharist and Dyspagia
Question from Jorge Garcia on 7/12/2017:

I would like to know what alternatives exist within the Church Guidelines for people with Dysphagia with the inability to swallow solids. How can such an individual receive the Eucharist? Thank you for your time, and suggestions. Please take care.

Answer by David Gregson on 7/18/2017:

If it's only solids that you have difficulty swallowing, most parishes offer the Precious Blood at Sunday Masses. If yours does not, speak to your priest and ask if you can receive the Precious Blood outside of Mass.
