Voting
Question from Frank V. on 5/3/2012:

Dear Judie, as much as I appreciate those who favor not voting for a president, I must disagree. A recent poll shows that many pseudo Catholics are still in favor of Obama and will probably vote for him. Then there are all those "new" voters who are indebted to him for various reasons. Then there is the media and the $27,000,000 that Soros and other are spending tp ensure he is re-elected. So the question is easy. Can we afford to have this socialist president for another umpteen years? I have trying to tell people for years that the only way to change is in the local elections and the primaries and haven't converted anyone.

Yes, we need to pray and pray hard. But we can't let him get elected by default because we didn't vote.

By the way, did you know he told all the Black pastors to appoint captains to get out the vote for him. How many bishop and priest will even mention the stakes? God bless you,

Frank V.

Answer by Judie Brown on 5/5/2012:

Frank

Excellent points, and I cannot think of many Bishops or Priests who would mobilize folks to get out the vote. That is very sad indeed.

For specific guidance on voting in the coming election, I recommend EWTN's moral theologian, Colin Donovan.
