St. Expeditus
Question from Rich on 12/6/2012:

Is St. Expeditus a real saint, or possibly in the category of St. Christopher or St. Philomena, meaning that we cannot document his existence? His aid is invoked in cases that require speedy solutions. Is it ok to pray to him? Thank you.

Answer by David Gregson on 2/6/2014:

Since the Church has assigned him a feast day, April 19, it's clearly OK to pray to him. He died as a Martyr, either in Rome or Armenia, in the year 303. He is the patron of emergencies, expeditious solutions, merchants, and navigators.
