Faces of Jesus Christ
Question from Elna R. on 2/2/2014:

I have 3 images of (faces) Jesus Christ. One on the dining table and on both sides of the cabinet doors. All of them are faces of Jesus. One is exactly the face of Tourine. What does it mean?

Sincerely, Ainie

Answer by Richard Geraghty on 2/16/2014:

Dear Elna,

It seems that here was a general knowledge of what Christ looked like. The Shroud and the Face napkin were preserved from the beginning. I suppose that these sacred relics were the sources accounting for the similarity between the faces of Christ drawn by artists.

Dr. Geraghty
