Dina's question about bible quote
Question from on 2/17/2014:

Dear Dr. Garaghty,

Dina asked, "Where in the bible does it say 'who's sins you shall forgive , they are forgiven' ?"

This is from John 20:22-23 when Jesus appears to the Apostles in the Upper Room.

[Jesus] said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.”

22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the holy Spirit.

23 Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.”

Thank you, Dr Geraghty and all at EWTN for this wonderful ministy.

J. C. Taylor

Answer by Richard Geraghty on 3/2/2014:
