meal prayer
Question from Suzanne on 4/26/2012:

Is it acceptable for a scrupulous person to say his meal prayer once a day or even less? My young adult son struggles with this.

Answer by Catholic Answers on 4/26/2012:

Suzanne--

If your son is "struggling" with how often to say his meal prayers, then that is a sign that he may need to be evaluated by a doctor for the possibility of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. He may also want to seek therapy from a Catholic mental-health professional. The Pastoral Solutions Institute may be able to provide either telephone counseling or a referral to a mental-health professional in his area.
