RE: 10 Commandments
Question from Dieter on 11/28/2012:

Fr Echert,

on the Ten Commandments post, the poster wrote "Pastor Echert", you wrote: Clearly you are unhappy with me and I assume you are not Catholic, given your form of address"

WHY ARE YOU HUNG UP ON IF PEOPLE CALL YOU "FATHER" OR NOT? Even the Catholic Priests in formal fashion are "Pastors if they are given charge of a Church:

Get over this pettiness.

Answer by Fr. John Echert on 11/28/2012:

The post itself was hostile and disrespectful. No faithful Catholic would disrespect a priest without cause. Furthermore, in all my years as a priest no Catholic has directly addressed me as Pastor and as a military chaplain, most non-Catholics are respectful enough to address me as Father.

Father Echert
