Question from Anonymous on 12/19/2012:

Hello Judie, I enrolled in AARPs Medicare Supplement and had to be a member of AARP in order to enroll. I didn't want to become an AARP member because of their hand in Obama's health care reform, but the same supplement plan was much more expensive with the other companies. Do you think it was wrong for me to enroll under these circumstances?

Answer by Judie Brown on 12/22/2012:

Dear Anonymous

I do not think it is wrong to acquire affordable Medicare supplements by joining AARP. There is no viable alternative at the moment and sometimes we have to use common sense in providing for our needs as persons responsible for such things as health care.
