Crucifix
Question from Lori Ann Gumerson on 8/14/2008:

Hello! I have recently seen at a antique store, a beautiful crucifix with many symbols around it. Some of the symbols include a ladder, a rooster, a lantern a broom, a spear and many more. Is this crucifix used for special reason. Would it be a Catholic crucifix?Thank-you!

Answer by Fr. Thomas Loya on 10/24/2008:

Glory to Jesus Christ!

Lori,

The Crucifix you are referring to would be a Catholic Crucifix but most likely it is done in the style of Eastern iconography.
