the two shall become one
Question from JW on 11/15/2011:

When two people marry does that mean they do everything together or can each one still do things with their friends apart from their spouse?

Answer by Fr. Jay Toborowsky on 11/18/2011:

They may certainly do things separately. Marriage is not a renunciation of their past, and friends and family are part of that past.
