Confession
Question from Ruth S on 3/6/2013:

Is the saying the act of contrition required during Confession or is simply some statement of sorrow sufficient? Our Priest does not use it and I do not like it.

Answer by Richard Geraghty on 4/8/2013:

Dear Ruth,

What are your objections to the act of contrition? What do you say as a substitute? Do you cover the same points but in different words?

Dr. Geraghty
