Re: Saint Paul - was he a Bishop?
Question from Paul on 4/5/2014:

Hello Judy,

Is there any evidence that Saint Pau(the Apostle)was a Catholic Bishop(i.e., marks on his tombstone,Scriptural evidence, Christian historical evidence - orally or written)? Because St. Paul warns tat anyone who listens to another Doctrine other written or orally (Romans)that he has preached, whether an Angel or human, consider them anathema.

It seems to me that other groups claiming to be Christian, but ignore Saint Paul's message are deceived? Everyone Christian should then want to be Catholic!

Paul

Answer by Judie Brown on 4/5/2014:

Dear Paul

The Catholic Encyclopedia suggests that St. Paul was not a Bishop of the Church. Please note the article: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/11567b.htm
