Question from Mary Catherine on 5/26/2014:

Today at Mass, Father mentioned the Holy Spirit about 6 or more times, always calling the Holy Spirit, "She". Last week, Father said we cannot judge things good or bad and he gave this example-labeling homosexuals good and heterosexual bad, or heterosexual good and homosexual bad-he said God is the judge of what is good not us. Also by Fathers side was the deacon who said today's scribes and pharisee's law is cannon law and the catechism as if they were evil. None of the people in the pew seem to think these things that father and deacon say are wrong-they laugh at his jokes and applaud him-I feel so all alone in my opinions.

Answer by Richard Geraghty on 6/10/2014:

Dear Mary Catherine,

Yes, to be a believer among those who are supposed to believe but don't can be a lonely experience.
