I would like to know how I can help a friend who lost her husband. She has not been able to accept the loss, it has been almost a year since her husband passed away. Please provide me with Scripture or anything I can share with my friend. Thank you

Here are a couple biblical readings that I favor and often select for funerals and memorials:

The souls of the just are in the hand of God (Wisdom 3:1-9)

The Lord is my Shepherd (Psalm 23)

Those who sleep in Christ will be the first to rise (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)

Many rooms in my Fathers House (Gospel John: 14:1-6)
