| 3 things Question from Frank on 11-20-2012: |
Dear Father, If I may I want to make trhee comments. First, just because Christ was baptised in the Jordan, doesn't mean that
he was dunked. There is a famous painting that depicts Him standing in
knee deep water and John pouring water from a three "hole" shell over
Him. I also read that the Israielites had various forms of baptism for
pagans who converted. The earliest Church document that describes
pabtism is the Didache from the first century and it gives three
methods. Second, Would it have make a difference if the statue of "Our Laady of
America" was installed in the basilica? Third, I wrote "The Truth about Purgatory" for such people. Thank you, God bless you, Frank V. Ps, you can drop the ad for my book if you think it proper. FV |
