| Body's cremated ashes Question from anonymous on 02-11-2013: |
Does the church have any regulations about what to do with cremated ashes after a Catholic funeral? My spouse and I are looking at options other than a cemetery for economic reasons. With the fairly lenient laws in our state, it is doable but we wish to have them properly buried rather than scattered or kept in a box in the house. |

According to the Catholic Church, cremated ashes must be buried in consecrated ground or a mausoleum. Judie Brown www.ewtn.com |
