| Cremation Question from Pete on 02-14-2013: |
Juie,
Someone wrote to you asking what to do with a person's ashes after cremation. Your answer about burial was correct. But there is also a columbarium. Many cemetaries have them. It is a 'wall' with nitches in it. The urn, with the ashes, is placed in the nitch and the nitch sealed. Usually there is a place on (in) the nitch to indicate the name of the person, dates of birth, death, etc. Not sure of the cost, but it is probably cheaper than a buril plot. Pete |
