In Episode Four, we explore how Protestantism began to fracture. Different Protestant sects could not agree on basic Theology with one another. The bible itself became a bone of contention. Religion which had been the bedrock of a shared belief and social life had become a source of discord and even armed conflict. Moreover the various Protestant sects even began to persecute one another over their differences.
