Spanish Ham and Cheese Bocadillos

Pilgrims have to sometimes eat on the move, and these handheld sandwiches provide the flavors of Spain in some traditional and unique ways.

Cook Time: 20 Minutes
INGREDIENTS:
1 Small Baguette Bread, cut lengthwise
1 Tbs Butter
1 tsp Paprika
2-3 Slices Serrano or Iberico Ham
1-2 Slices Smokey Cheese
3-4 Slices Roma Tomato
2 tsp Parsley, minced
2 tsp Olive oil
¼ cup Arugula
½ tsp Salt and Pepper
How To Make:
- Open the bread lengthwise.
- Melt butter in the pan.
- Toast the inside of the bread until slightly browned.
- Remove the bread from the pan and assemble the sandwich with layers of ham and cheese.
- Place sandwich back in the pan & cover to melt the cheese & warm the meat.
- In a small bowl, combine the parsley, tomato, and olive oil. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Remove the bocadillos from the pan, open the sandwich, and top off with fresh arugula & a spoonful of the combined parsley, tomato, and olive oil.
