Irondale, AL (EWTN) – EWTN Global Catholic Network and Comcast today announced an agreement to make EWTN’s new high definition network available to Comcast’s high definition customers in the City of Chicago on Xfinity channel #243.
“Comcast has been a significant partner to EWTN for many years. Our presence on Comcast has helped to fuel our growth. Now we are the largest religious media network in the world,” said EWTN President and CEO Michael P. Warsaw. “We are proud to offer EWTN in this enhanced television format to Comcast’s customers in Chicago.” EWTN has been serving Catholics, the largest faith group in the United States, using every form of technology for 30 years. The Faith never looked so good!
“At Comcast, we strive to provide viewers with programs in various formats,” said David Williams, Comcast VP of Marketing. “We are thrilled to partner with EWTN to show case its programming in high definition. Viewers will appreciate the better picture quality.”
EWTN’s diverse programs include live call-in talk shows, news programs, original series and documentaries, teaching series with noted theologians, children’s shows, live coverage of the Pope and important Church events, a live daily Mass, devotions, concerts, music, and much more. The HD format is especially thrilling in programs such as “Footprints in the Wilderness,” a four-part mini-series on the North American martyrs shot on three continents with its outdoor views of thundering waterfalls; “Saints of Europe,” shot in Ireland, England, France and Rome; “The Little Flower in Africa;” and “Guadalupe: A Living Image.” (See www.ewtn.com for dates and times.)
