Joseph O’Farrell Joins EWTN As Vice President of Mission Advancement

Irondale, AL (EWTN) – Joseph A. O’Farrell has joined the EWTN Global Catholic Network as Vice President of Mission Advancement. In this newly established position, O’Farrell will have responsibility for the planning, coordination and implementation of all fundraising activities and programs for EWTN and will report directly to EWTN President & Chief Executive Officer Michael P. Warsaw. “Joe was chosen from among a national slate of candidates with significant fundraising and development experience,” Warsaw said. “I have found him to be a man of integrity and strong faith who joins us already deeply committed to the mission of EWTN.”

O’Farrell comes to EWTN with 20 years of experience in political, educational and nonprofit development work. Most recently, he served as Director of Programs and Development for the Cox Family Enterprise Center at Kennesaw State University’s Coles College of Business in Georgia. He also operated an independent fundraising consulting firm providing counsel to Catholic non-profit organizations such as Belmont Abbey College, The College of Mary Magdalene, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Atlanta and Catholic Relief Services.

A native of Niantic, Connecticut, O’Farrell received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bradford College in Bradford, Massachusetts. He and his wife Kersti are the parents of five children ages two to eight. O’Farrell and his family will be re-locating to Birmingham from Atlanta.
