EWTN to air “St. Faustina’s Way of the Cross: At the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy”
IRONDALE, AL— In 1930’s Poland, a simple nun wrote a diary of over 700 pages recording the revelations she received about God’s Mercy. This unique mission involved not only collaborating with an artist to portray what the face of Mercy should look like, but to ultimately spread a powerful prayer that is said on ordinary Rosary beads.
In her diary “Divine Mercy in My Soul”, St. Faustina Kowalska wrote that Jesus said: "Say unceasingly this chaplet that I have taught you. Anyone who says it will receive great Mercy at the hour of death. Priests will recommend it to sinners as the last hope. Even the most hardened sinner, if he recites this Chaplet even once, will receive grace from My Infinite Mercy. I want the whole world to know My Infinite Mercy. I want to give unimaginable graces to those who trust in My Mercy...."(Diary 687).
This message we hear is not a new one but a reminder for all that Scripture and Tradition have taught us--- God loves us. He is merciful to us no matter how great the sin because His Mercy is greater than our sins. Profound but unpretentious, just think of the letters ABC of what God is asking for-- Ask for His Mercy, be merciful and completely trust in Jesus.
