What Would Mother Angelica Say? Find Out When EWTN Premieres ‘Mother Angelica Answering The Call’

2021-04-20

While April 20 is Mother Angelica’s birthday, tonight’s treat is for her viewers! At 8 p.m. ET, Tuesday, April 20, EWTN will kick off a new series with a one-hour special: “Mother Angelica Answering the Call.” (Encore at 3 p.m. ET, Friday, April 23.)

Although Mother died on Easter Sunday 2016, her wit and wisdom live on in the many shows she hosted for the Network she founded. Now, the EWTN Global Catholic Radio Network has taken Mother’s Answers to Viewer Questions from her live call-in show and will incorporate them into a new radio show.

EWTN President Doug Keck and EWTN Chaplain Fr. Joseph Mary, both of whom knew Mother well, will wrap each clip, adding some fun behind-the-scenes facts about Mother.

Those who watched Mother’s shows know that she never disappoints; her answers to even the most difficult questions were always clear, direct, and often humorous. Many considered them the highlight of “Mother Angelica Live.”

This new show truly is don’t miss radio! Following the April 20 premiere, the show will settle into its regular half-hour time slot at 2 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. ET, Sundays beginning May 2 on EWTN Radio.
